A long time away...
I have been a very long time away from this little playground, and I’m not sure than anyone else will even realize that I’ve made a new mark upon the ground… nonetheless, here I go, because I need to, because I’m feeling like a patient straitjacketed in by her own devices… no society to speak of, no energy, no purpose — it’s as if I lost my mouth with which to...

so I can get comments to work.
but we still need to think about our list of how we want the site to operate.
looking forward to an in-person meeting, apb, at the wedding soon to come!
done. comments added — must click on permalink to see commenting field. (in this theme, that’s the “posted xyz hours ago” text.) Now I need to add back the author tags, but need to do some...

Zoe Keating - describing her process of making music. Once at the Wired site, click on the other links of her performing one of her pieces of music.
I became interested in Zoe Keating earlier in the year, and find I can listen to it while writing (a bit rare). I think there are some intriguing kernels in here - especially the relationship between cello, player, and computer. I guess I find myself...

on a personal note...
I’m working on a project (based on the writing below) and was hoping to get a bit of input from you crazy colleagues of mine…
The Modern Loveletter Intimacy in a _________ space. Reading in your own place, own time, Creating the environment of experience, the language — Creating a closeness, The personal nature of it… Instantaneous disbursement of information, the letter,...
Great Idea!
That’s a great idea to pass our great ideas on to a tumblr designer. Let’s make an outline of what we need from the blog/site to be all that we can be and apply for help.
ooooh! I've found my "process" research topic......
I have inadvertently been researching multi-tasking of late, but with all my own multi-tasking as a distraction, I didn’t realize that I could be formalizing that interest into my research for design playground. Thank goodness for the uni-task of yoga for showing me the way…
research results to soon follow.
Process Research
I researched the process of getting large groups of people to do absurd actions. The three people or groups I researched are spencer tunick, improv everywhere, and arthur mole/john thomas.
spencer tunick, is an artist who photographs large groups of nude people. What fascinated me about his work is the sheer quantity of people who pose for his photographs. For instance his photo shoot in mexico...

i’ll look into behavioral psychology — the experimental practices there — as I’ve done some previous work in that field and have a few primary resources as well as secondary…
and yay… i’m glad you got past the tired(!) response.

funny i was thinking about the same thing...
APB, that’s just uncanny… I think we came about it in different ways, but nonetheless, I’ve been thinking through the concepts of narrative and relationships — and how to create experiments with one to craft the other (i.e., through the iterative nature of experimentation, relationships that are discovered will yield a narrative, but also, potentially, fragment and explode...
The Social Brain. (my favorite kind.)
So, I’ve been doing some research on brain processes, specifically how we develop human relationships on a neurological level. Some interesting findings. This is all from an article/conf. call between two psychologists talking about….The Neuroscience of Human Relationships
“…brains are social organs and can only really be understood when they’re connected to other...
